This policy explains what personal data Creativa SpA handles on www.masterincreativity.com and in its virtual classroom, what it’s used for, and your rights over it.
Who is responsible
Miqueles Asesorías y Producción Creativa SpA (“Creativa SpA”), Chilean tax ID (RUT) 78.302.292-3, Obispo Orrego 368, Ñuñoa, Región Metropolitana, 7750166, Santiago, Chile. For any question about your data: mario.miqueles@masterincreativity.com.
What data we collect and why
- When you buy: your name, email, country and billing details, your phone number if you give it, the book’s shipping address and your order. Used to process your order, send its emails, give you course access, ship the book and meet tax obligations.
- When you pay: the payment result and its transaction ID. Your card or payment account details go to PayPal or dLocal Go, not to this site. Used to confirm the payment and make refunds.
- In the virtual classroom: your first and last name, email, username, password (stored encrypted), submissions, progress, grades and sign-ins. Used to deliver the course and assess your work.
- In a group purchase: each participant’s first and last name and email, sent by the buyer. Used to enroll the participants.
- When you subscribe: your email (and name, if you give it), your confirmation, and whether you open the emails and click their links. Used to send you the study program and course news. The study program download link is personal and only works while you’re subscribed.
- When you write to us: your email and what you tell us. Used to reply.
- When you browse: technical and usage data (pages viewed, device, approximate country), through cookies. Used to measure and improve the site, and to prevent payment fraud.
Legal bases
- Contract: purchase and virtual classroom data are needed to give you what you bought.
- Legal obligation: sales records are kept because tax law requires it.
- Consent: email subscriptions. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest: site security and fraud prevention.
In Chile, this processing is governed by Law 19,628 and the rules that complement or replace it. If you’re in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation also applies.
Who it’s shared with
We never sell personal data. It only goes to the providers that run the site, for that purpose:
- DreamHost (United States): hosting for the site, the virtual classroom and their backups.
- PayPal and dLocal Go: payment processing.
- MailPoet: sending the site’s, the store’s and the subscription emails.
- Google: site measurement (Google Analytics) and fraud prevention at checkout (reCAPTCHA).
- Correos de Chile or another courier: shipping the book.
Some of these providers process data outside Chile, mainly in the United States, under the security and confidentiality safeguards each of them offers.
How long it’s kept
- Orders: for as long as Chilean tax law requires.
- Virtual classroom account: while you have access to the course, or until you ask for it to be deleted.
- Subscription: until you unsubscribe. A record of the unsubscribe is kept so you aren’t emailed again.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, to restrict its use, or to object to it, by emailing mario.miqueles@masterincreativity.com. To stop the emails, use the link at the bottom of each one. If you think your rights haven’t been respected, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Cookies
- Necessary: they keep your cart, your checkout and your virtual classroom session working. The store doesn’t work without them.
- Analytics: Google Analytics counts visits in aggregate.
- Security: reCAPTCHA, on the checkout page, tells people apart from bots.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), admin access is protected, and payments are processed by PayPal and dLocal Go, which don’t share your card details with this site.
Children
The courses are meant for adults.
